TODA RACING designs and manufactures racing engines and automotive components.
Since the company’s establishment, we have continually strived to understand how to burn each drop of fuel more efficiently.
With the goal of increasing combustion efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and lowering emission outputs, our recent research and development endeavours have primarily focused on the application of advanced technologies, such as direct injection systems, into advanced eco-friendly engines.

Racing History

1970	Yukio Toda races in Suzuka 12 hour race. He competes with Honda S800 and wins GT1 class.
1971	Yukio Toda establishes TODA Racing. Race tuning engines such as Honda N, Honda Z and Honda S1300 (all air cooled). Design chassis for local FL500 championship. TODA Racing tuned and used Honda N360 as the power unit.
1977	Using MF318 engine and March chassis, development work and testing begins with an eye towards participating in Suzuka based FJ1300 series.
1978	Employing local driver, Kengo Nakamoto, we race and win Suzuka FJ1300 championship. FJ1300 championship finished at the end of the year. A decision is made to move up to Japanese F3 championship.
1979	Maintain F3 Nova Toyota 2TG engine. Development work begins on Toda Racing’s Toyota 2TG engine.
1980	F3 chassis is built to aid development of F3 engine.
1981	Supplied F3 engine to British championship mid season, and TODA Racing’s engine takes 2nd in the championship. (Driver:Thierry Tasan)
1982	F2 BMW-M12 maintenance.
1984	TODA Racing begin work developing Toyota 3SG into a potential race winning F3 engine, to replace the ageing 2TG F3 power unit.
1985	Toyota announces the introduction of F3 3SG engine.
1987	TODA Racing F3 3SG engine takes Japan F3 title. (Driver: Ross Cheever) With this result, development and maintenance of 3SG F3 is stopped.
1988	Development and maintenance work begins on Mugen MF-204 F3 engine. SUPER HAKKA F3 Racing team is formed. (Driver: Kouji Sato)
1989	CHERENA Racing team (F3000) is formed. (Driver: Osamu Nakago) Maintenance of Mugen MF-308 engine starts (F3000) Shinji Nakano (F1 Driver) is entered in F3 series by TODA Racing.

1990	SUPER HAKKA F3 driver Kazuaki Takamura.
1991	SUPER HAKKA team takes 3rd place in Fuji International race. (Driver: Kazuaki Takamura, the best placed Japanese driver ever in the international event.) From 1988 to 1991, SUPER HAKKA racing team consecutively wins F1 support race. SUPER HAKKA Racing closes its doors.

1992	Fightex Damper department opens. Product manufacturing department enlarged. Design and development of F4 and RS gearbox.
1994	Design and development of F4 engine based on B18C begins.

1995	TODA F4 engine is released. TODA Racing together with ASSO MOTOR SPORTS collaborate to organize F3 team. (Driver: Juichi Wakisaka)

1997	LIAN TODA Racing team F3 (Drivers: Yuji Tachikawa, Naohiro Kawano) F4 (Drivers: Yusuke Matsuura , Kota Sasaki) F3, Mugen FM-204B engine development and maintenance starts. All Japan F3 runners up. (Driver: Yuji Tachikawa) F4 Suzuka series champion. (Driver: Yusuke Matsuura) F4 TI series runners up. (Driver: Kota Sasaki) TODA’s F4 engine powers the champions of Suzuka, TI, and Kanto series. It’s the engine to have. As for TODA Racing’s FJ1600 it powers Suzuka, TI, Mine and Tohoku series champions. With runners up position in Tsukuba series.
1998: Hiroki Katah
1998	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) is born. (Driver: Hiroki Kato) For the second year running we are F3 all Japan series runners up. Macao GP 6th place F4 Suzuka series champion. (Driver: Kota Sasaki) F4 TI series champion. (Driver: Naoki Yokobayashi) TODA’s F4 engine powers the champions of Suzuka, TI, and Kanto series. TODA Racing’s FJ1600 it powers to TI, Mine and Tohoku series champions. With runners up position in Suzuka series.	1999: Wagner Ebrahim
1999	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Wagner Ebrahim) 8th in all Japan F3 Championship TODA Racing maintained engine takes 3rd place at Macao. (Driver: Daisuke Ito) TODA Racing’s F4 engine powers the champions of Super F4, Kansai, and Mine series, as well as most of the other top places. TODA Racing’s FJ1600 supplies the power for the Tsukuba, Suzuka, TI, Mine and Autopolis series champions.
2000	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Seiji Ara) 3rd in all Japan F3 Championship TODA Racing’s F4 engine powers the champions of Super F4, Kansai, and Mine series, as well as most of the other top places. TODA Racing’s FJ1600 supplies the power for the Tsukuba, Suzuka, TI, Mine and Autopolis series champions.
2000: Seiji Ara
2001	30th Anniversary since the formation of TODA Racing. TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Masataka Yanagida) 8th in all Japan F3 Championship All Japan GT championship series class GT300 winner. TODA powered No.81 Daishin Silvia. TODA Racing’s F4 engine powers the champions of Super F4, Kansai, and Mine series, as well as most of the other top places. TODA Racing’s FJ1600 supplies the power for Tsukuba, Suzuka, TI, Mine and Autopolis series champions.
2002	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Hirokazu Nagaya) 9th in all Japan F3 Championship All Japan GT championship series class GT300 tuners title. TODA power proves to be not only the power to have, but the depth of its ability to both supply and develop N.A. and turbo engines to a small group teams. TODA Racing’s F4 engine powers the champions of Kansai, and Kanto series, as well as most of the other top places. TODA Racing’s FJ1600 supplies the power for TI, and Autopolis series champions.
2003	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Shinya Sato) 7th in all Japan F3 Championship TODA Racing’s F4 engine again powers the champions of East, and west series, as well as most of the other top places. TODA Racing’s FJ1600 supplies the power for Tsukuba, Suzuka, TI, Mine and Autopolis series champions.
2004	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Hideki Mutoh) 9th in all Japan F3 Championship TODA Racing’s F4 engine again powers the champions of East, and west series, as well as most of the other top places. TODA Racing’s FJ1600 supplies the power for the TI series champion. Japanese Magazine Rev Speed, Tsukuba super battle 2004 competition. Toda tuned S2000 2.4 liter engine takes FR/NA open class in collaboration with ASM.

2008	Honda TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Daisuke Nakajima)  9th in the all Japan F3 Championship
2009	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Kei Cozzolino)  4th in the all Japan F3 Championship
2010	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Alexandre Imperatori)  5th in the all Japan F3 Championship
2011	Participated in Macau GP separately (F3) (Driver: Hideki Yamauchi)
2012	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Rafael Suzuki)  6th in the all Japan F3 Championship
2013	Commenced supplying our own engine “TR-F301” to all Japan F3 Championship. TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Tomoki Nojiri)  4th in the all Japan F3 Championship B-MAX·F312 with TODA TR-F301 has achieved 1st place at Rd.14 and Rd.15.
2014	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Shota Kiyohara)  6th in the all Japan F3 Championship
2015	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Keishi Ishikawa)  7th in the all Japan F3 Championship Commenced supplying 6 Speed Sequential Transmission & Paddle Shift System to FIA-F4 Japanese Championship.
2016	TODA RACING TEAM (F3) (Driver: Keishi Ishikawa, Tadasuke Makino)  5th in the all Japan F3 Championship (Tadasuke Makino) 8th in the all Japan F3 Championship (Keishi Ishikawa)
